HPL Unilin Lichen Green U817 sample
High-Pressed Laminate (HPL) is an innovative material made from paper and thermosetting resin. This thin layer of HPL is laminated onto a thick layer of HDF.
The material is resistant to wear, scratches, and impact, ensuring a very long lifespan.
Sustainability
HDF (High Density Fiberboard) is a relatively sustainable material. It consists of pressed wood fibers, sourced from responsible forestry with PEFC certification. However, due to the extensive use of binder in HDF, it is not very environmentally friendly and difficult to recycle.
