HPL Fenix white kos 0032 steel

High-Pressed Laminate (HPL) is an innovative material made from paper and thermosetting resin. This thin layer of HPL is laminated onto a thick layer of HDF.

The material is resistant to wear, scratches, and impacts, and therefore lasts a very long time.

Sustainability
HDF (High Density Fibreboard) is a relatively sustainable material. It consists of pressed wood fibres, sourced from responsible forestry with PEFC certification. However, because a lot of binder is used in HDF, it is not very environmentally friendly and difficult to recycle.

Properties of HPL Fenix

  • Ultra-matte surface that feels soft to the touch
  • Anti-fingerprint
  • Water-repellent
  • Self-healing top layer: superficial scratches can be repaired by frictional heat
