HPL Fenix beige Arizona 0748 sample

High-Pressed Laminate (HPL) is an innovative material made from paper and thermosetting resin. This thin layer of HPL is laminated onto a thick layer of HDF.

The material is resistant to wear, scratches, and impacts, ensuring a very long lifespan.

Sustainability
HDF (High Density Fibreboard) is a relatively sustainable material. It consists of pressed wood fibers, sourced from responsible forestry with PEFC certification. However, due to the high amount of binding agent used in HDF, it is not very environmentally friendly and difficult to recycle.

Properties of HPL Fenix

  • Ultra-matte surface that is soft to the touch
  • Anti-fingerprint
  • Water-repellent
  • Self-healing top layer: superficial scratches can be repaired by friction heat
