Job opening: E-commerce Manager (Product Owner)

Truly make an impact in a fast-growing and ambitious company.

An exciting opportunity exists for an e-commerce expert to join the Marketing Department at Studio HENK and help us realise our international growth ambitions. In this newly created role, you will turn the Studio HENK website into a top e-commerce site that offers a seamless customer experience, reflects the brand and successfully converts traffic to a high percentage of sales. As a key member of the Marketing Department, you will work together with both the Head of Marketing and Director/Founder of Studio HENK to help take our business to the next level. Laying the foundation for future growth, you will own and drive the vision for the website and will help us reach our ambitions for international expansion within the coming 3 years.

This is a role that requires a unique set of skills. You know how to lead and manage a team, but you love being hands-on and operational. You understand how to build the best online journey for customers by implementing SEO, CRO and UX strategies and you have operational experience doing this in a previous role. You are also technically very strong and have experience working directly with front-end and back-end developers. You are therefore very comfortable working across all areas of a business, from IT to Marketing.

About the role:
  • Take ownership across all areas of our e-commerce operation related to the website including CX/UX, SEO, CRO, testing, data analysis and the technical roadmap;
  • Work with Pimcore, Exact Online, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager and investigate other platforms (e.g. optimisation platforms) we can implement to help manage, optimise and analyse website performance;
  • Develop, manage and implement A/B testing;
  • Manage a small team that includes a front-end developer, back-end developers and UX designer and further build your in-house team of specialists;
  • Be the (hands-on) Product Owner for the website – set the vision, manage the backlog and ensure effective implementations;
  • Set up systems and processes to lay the foundation for future growth and for scaling our operation internationally;
  • Work together with other members of the marketing department to ensure a seamless experience for our customers;
  • Continually look for improvements to the website and buyer journey in order to optimise conversion;
  • Analyse website data and metrics to deliver insights for your team and other stakeholders in the company.

About you:
  • You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a similar role at an international e-commerce company;
  • You are data-driven and do not make decisions on gut feeling but on hard numbers;
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality;
  • You have a clear vision of what a good user experience is, and you can discuss this with designers and developers;
  • You are technically proficient with marketing technology tools, advertising technology, and/or customer analytics;
  • You have a broad knowledge of digital marketing, e-commerce, web analytics, A/B testing, UX/UI and CRM;
  • You have strong people management skills, are a good communicator and you have the ability to influence people at all levels of a company;
  • You apply a pragmatic approach to your work with high attention to detail, but you’re able to see the bigger picture;
  • You love building teams, processes and workflows and helping companies scale to reach their ambitions;
  • You have an affinity with our brand;
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch.

What we offer:
  • A challenging job with a wide scope and a variety of responsibilities;
  • A dynamic and informal working atmosphere with enthusiastic and talented colleagues;
  • The opportunity to truly make an impact in a fast-growing and ambitious company;
  • Market-conform salary and 25 vacation days per year (based on 40-hour work week);
  • Development and training budget of €1.000 per year;
  • Pension contribution, travel allowance and lunch provided when at the office;
  • Additional compensation of €50 per month for remote-working (based on 40-hour work week);
  • A Windows laptop or MacBook depending on your preference;
  • An attractive employee discount on our design furniture;
  • When it allows, fun team events and Friday drinks (during Covid times we organise smashing online Bingo and trivia nights).

About us - Over the past seven years Studio HENK has grown rapidly from a start-up to a popular and much-loved Dutch Design furniture brand. Our fully customisable collection of high-quality furniture is designed by our in-house Product Design team and produced in Europe.
